Who We Are

The organisation responsible for your personal data is Nivara Accounting & Consulting LLC (‘Nivara’, ‘we’, ‘us’), a company licensed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, and any other data-protection law that applies to the personal data concerned.

What Personal Data We Collect

What you give us. When you use the enquiry form, we collect your first and last name, email address, company name and country. You may also choose to give us your phone number, your role or title, a preferred time for a call, the solutions you are interested in, and a message. We also keep a record that you gave your consent, including when you gave it and which version of the consent wording you saw. If you email or call us, we collect whatever you tell us.

If we go ahead together. Before we start work, the law may require us to carry out client onboarding checks. These can include verifying the identity of the people we deal with and the ownership of the client business, and we may ask you for documents for this purpose.

Technical information. Our website host and enquiry-form service may record technical information, such as the IP address and browser type of your device and the time of your visit or submission, so that the website works and so that we can protect it from spam and abuse. The enquiry form also records when it was opened and when it was sent, which helps us spot automated submissions.

Analytics, only if you accept. If you accept analytics on our cookie banner, we collect information about how the website is used, such as which pages are viewed, whether the call-to-action button is used and whether the enquiry form is submitted. We do not send what you type into the form, your name or your email address to analytics. See our Cookie Notice.

Please do not include sensitive personal data, or other people’s personal data, in your enquiry.

Why We Use Your Personal Data and On What Basis

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange your confidential discovery call. We do this with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the enquiry form.
• To carry out client onboarding checks, if we proceed. We do this with your consent and to meet our legal obligations, including under UAE anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislation.
• To comply with the law, including keeping records that the law requires and responding to a lawful request from a court, regulator or other competent authority.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to protect it from spam and abuse. This is technical processing that is necessary to run the website.
• To understand how the website is used, but only if you accept analytics.

We do not sell personal data or use it for marketing. We will not use the details you give us on the enquiry form to send you marketing emails.

Who We Share It With

We share personal data only where we need to, and only as far as we need to:

• Service providers that host this website, receive and store enquiries, and send and store email for us. They handle personal data on our instructions and under written terms.
• Professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and insurers, who are bound by duties of confidentiality.
• Courts, regulators and other competent authorities, where the law requires or permits. In certain circumstances, for example under anti-money-laundering legislation, the law may require us to report or disclose information without telling you.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Transfers Outside the UAE and How We Protect Your Data

This website, the enquiry form and our email are provided using third-party services. Depending on the providers we use, personal data you submit may be stored or processed outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we do so only as applicable data-protection law permits, for example to a country that offers an adequate level of protection or under appropriate contractual safeguards.

To protect your personal data we use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for this website, limit access to the people who need it to do their work, protect the enquiry form against spam, and require our service providers to keep personal data secure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

How Long We Keep It

• Enquiries that do not become an engagement: we keep them for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them or remove the details that identify you.
• Client records, including onboarding checks: if you become a client, we keep these for the period the law requires, which can be several years after the relationship ends, and after that we delete them or remove the details that identify you.
• Your cookie choice: it stays in your browser until you clear it or change your choice. See our Cookie Notice.

If the law requires us to keep information for longer, or we need it to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we keep it for as long as is necessary.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

• tell you whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy of it;
• correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your personal data;
• restrict or stop our use of your personal data;
• give you your personal data in a commonly used format, where that applies; and
• stop relying on your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@nivaras.ae. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did with your data before you withdrew it, and we may need to keep some information where the law requires.

To use any of these rights, email info@nivaras.ae. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request. We will reply as soon as we reasonably can and within the time the law requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office or another competent data-protection authority.

Children

This website is for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
